you have a short shifter..that happen to me wheni had an ebay one...theni swap it for a b&m and now it works fine...i dont knoe tho

 

My oem shifter is a little hard to get into gear when the car is cold (morning) but nothing serious. It gets better as it warms up.

 

My car is like that when it's cold outside. Not nearly that bad, but I can feel it "grind" more than normal the first couple of shifts when I first start driving if I dont let the car warm up for a couple minutes before driving.

Just let it warm up a bit before driving it.

 

Its kind of hard to get the transmission warmed up if your not using it.

i dunno what motor you got, but if your gonna put $800 for an ls tranny, why not get a b16 or gsr trans instead, or i just saw a b16b w/ lsd tranny on egay for $1100...
