Default my ******* car hates me...

anyways if you know me and and the history of my car youll have a little laugh about this one. anyways speed sensor is shot first of all. now this doesnt at all say all the problems this car has giving me but anyways here is the NEW problem. im driving last night and i notice my interior lights are slightly dim, but i think nothing of it.

Tonight im driving home, and the lights look dim and i notice it agian, right before i get home, they dim even more, radio shuts off and ABS light comes on. sighh i hate my car.

I just replaced the battery, now im confused how come the ABS light came on and why my interior is dying down. alternator maybe? if so who wants to buy 01 gsr... let me know what ya all think the prob might be.

Sounds alt/battery realted. If you just replaced the battery it sounds like it's going to be your alternator then. If your alternator is not charging then as you drive you're wearing down the battery charge. Soon, I'm guessing, your car won't start without a jump.

Be wary of draining/charging/draining/charging your battery. It will kill it.

not enough voltage to run the car so the abs kicks a code. Fix the alt. this will fix your problems. Check to see if the belts loose. This is most likely the problem. If not swap the alt.

BTW, replacing the battery should've "fixed" the car for atleast a day or two (yes, I've been there and done that....multiple times actually). Also if the alternator is going out, generally the engine will start to sputter and cut out at idle (along with dimming of lights) and if you rev it up a bit it acts normal. All the same, check it out and also check the ABS code and see what it says. Sometimes the code will stay even though the problem went away and you just need to erase the code.

HAHA...this happened to me in my 01 gsr also...ended up being a blown alternator fuse...check that first. I went through 2 alternators and 1 battery thinking it was that.
