Best Clutch
What is the best lutch and flywheel to use on a daily driven turbo GSR making 300-350whp? Everyone give me your opinion i have a xtd stage 3 but my frined said that wont hold the power. So i am looking for more choices and opinons on this.
best clutch? Exedy Hyper Carbon.
Will last longer than the car (~200k miles), and can hold 800hp.
MSRP $2,100
But if you want the most cost effective clutch, Exedy Stage 3 should work fine. Same goes for Clutchmasters Stg3 and ACT HD blah blah...

I'd rock out with the ACT XTSS. Might be a little overkill for 300-350whp but you'll have no problems with it and by going slightly too aggressive it will make the clutch last a little longer then going with a weaker clutch.

not sure about how much power it can handle, but that's what i have on my gsr that i'm turboing. i'm only going for 250 whp so i'm sure it'll be enough for me. the engagement is pretty rough if you don't hit the gas very hard when starting off; you have to gas more than usual on startoffs and let the clutch out quick. otherwise it chatters pretty bad.

let's hope not. if you're clutch is slipping within 4k miles then you have major issues.

I DD a ClutchNet 4 Puck Unsprung. But that's just me cuz I'm not right
ClutchNet also has 6 Puck sprung clutches that will grab 350+
That's my 2 pennies

Clutchnet
. Slipped from one end of interstate to the other. Given that was on an organic disc w/ red pressure plate.....but I never had a problem with the ACT XTSS.

Your ClutchNet might have slipped due to the amount of HP you were pushing.
I had an Exedy Organic and it slipped in every gear. Again, too much HP.
Buy the right clutch for the right application.

Clutchnet red pressureplate w/ organic disc should be equal to the XTSS....I know the clutchnet slipped due to the hp, but the same type setup w/ ACT did not. Sorry if I dont want to go with a pucked clutch or a unsprung clutch.....I dont have to because ACT sells a sprung organic disc that will hold 350whp.
I had an xtd stage 2 for my gsr and its the worst clutch out there. Only had it in for 2k miles and took back out cuz it was slipping, and looked as smooth as a brake rotor.
This clutch was free due to a dyno bet that I won. (Organic Exedy held the HP
)
Anywho, hey whatever you or anyone feels comfortable driving around with.
I use this one cuz the price(free in this case) and the way it grabs.

i'm not sure if i can give real good insite in comparison between different clutches
because i've only driven a clutchmaster stg 3 clutch with exedy flywheel and a
stock setup that had 80000+ miles on it but the clutchmasters feels perfect to me,
very good daily drivability imo
