hey guys well im getting ready to install my HFP lip kit but i was consern on one side of the car the side skirt has clear coat paint , like if it dried out so it feels funny and un even and on the other side i have like a dent or a pop inside and shows rust . and so i was wondering it the surface had to be completely flat in order for the HFP kit to be installed properly??? thoughts anyone??

was this hard to install? I noticed the instructions said to cut out the OEM bumper around the exhaust... was difficult?

Its not that hard to install but it makes it a lot easier if you have 2 or more people and even easier if one of those people have already installed one before . They give you a template to use when you have to cut the bumper around the exhaust tip. Just use a dremel if you have one and you dont have to be that neat with either because the HFP bumper will cover the cut.
As for the other pieces unless you have a lift your going to have to take off the front bumper.
Side Skirts- i think that its easier to put the mounting bracket in the side skirt first and then stick it to the side of the car, rather applying the mounting bracket t the car making sure its all lined up and then putting the side skirt on. Also make sure you clean everything with alcohol first, and try to do it on a warm day in the sun too!

Why wait till spring? its gonna be 70 tomorrow! and i'm rolling 40 profile 18's in january! hahh

lol truth... i know the snow is going to come at some point...if it doesnt i'm going to be pissed!!! I've got a basement filled with delicious car parts!

You know i'm not as baller as you are with the 18's for snow wheels, lol. Any idea of a place i can get a better deal on the F1's...tirerack is up to 149 a pop, boooo!

Let me know too man. If you find them cheap, I NEED to get a set for my Volks. I am just waiting for tirerack to drop them and then I'm buying 2 sets haha.

Before you do anything, take care of that rust. Get some of that stuff that converts it to black paint and then use touch up paint over it to seal it. If you leave it like that, you're going to regret it later on. Take it from the guy who does body work

 

but does it have to be even out? i mean i can have it sanded around cuz its poped in like a big dent...

( i dont mind being left out w/out paint cuz kit already gonna cover it and have paint )
