I'm sort of stock, except for one or two (or more) little things ...
Like harness and no rollover protection
And its only the uptight twits like NASA and Speedtrial that seem to think this is an issue ... because of the way they instruct their students. IMHO
Come on dave, give it a break.
I was talking about the little things like ..., AEM intake& pulleys, Mugen computer, FPR Mugen f/r saw bars and strut tower bars, GC/Bilsteins, and I'll probably roll up on my not yet used SSRs w/032Rs (but otherwise it's completely stock).
However, as I mentioned earlier today, I may have some bearing/driveline isues.
An R is "stock" only if it has exactly the equipment it had when it left the factory (plus any Acura options, all of which are dealer-installed). Take it to an extreme, and even non-Honda fluids make it aftermarket.
Of course, this is just a matter of semantics.
I refer to my car as "mostly stock" because the drivetrain is entirely stock, but I wouldn't call it "all stock" or "bone stock". Here are my mods:
GS-R shift **** (adds 10 hp)
Stoptech two-piece front brake rotors
RM Racing front brake pads
HID low-beam headlights
Motul RBF 600 brake fluid
Mobil 1 5W30 motor oil
3 stickers (h-t.com, itrca.com, NSXCA)
I also use Yokohama A032R tires on the track (on stock wheels), but I'm not sure that counts because I'm still using the RE010 tires on the street.

Me. All I did was order brake pads, fluid, and a helmet. Mine is stock and still a baby. 4500 miles.
I just have an AEM CAI.
I don't have the stock Bridgestone's either.
I'm still trying to get together another set of wheels and some track tires.

I'll be driving an R to ITR Expo. Ausmith's R really, I'm taking that and he is taking his Hatchcrap.

Umm...you guys who are stock will definetly need new brake fluid and pads. So be sure to do that... or your stock brakes will die after a few laps.
Come Practice!

Glad to see 1 person understands "stock"....unless your ordering something besides OEM pads and fluid...
Yeah, I know I'm not "stock", ...
Full interior and no motor work though, and only a little old DC 4-1 USDM header!
