I'm seriously thinking about a new RSX (non S because I want automatic). I built one (2006) with leather on Acura's website and I think I could maybe get it out-the-door for $3k less than the sticker, sound realistic?
I am really pleased with the interior quality as well as the reliability, and I'm tired of dealing with old cars. I might actually go test one tomorrow.

I'm to the point where I just want something that's clean and reliable, I don't really give a rat's *** if it's a four cylinder that doesn't make much power, as long as it's got a very nice interior with leather. I'm very impressed with the interior of the RSX.

You never know. About a year or so ago I was shopping for supras and came across a 94 or 96(can't remember which) fully loaded with only 16 miles. It was for sale at a Toyota dealership for 40k and I emailed them about it. The original owner was a car collector and was clearing out his garage so he sold it back to the dealer. Wish I had 40k at the time. It was red but I could live with that.

Seein as 06 is the last year of production for the rsx, an 05 might be hard to find. Honestly i think you can get just as good a deal on an 06. Dealers always wanna get a discontinued model off the lots.
I don't know about an '05 at this point but I'm sure you could swing a good deal on an '06. The problem though is that you'll have to negotiate with what's left on the lot. May not be the color/options you really want.
Edit: LOL @ 50K for the E36M. GTFOutta here.

I'd rather have the supra. It's been my realistic dream car since I first laid eyes on it in a copy of car & driver back in 94.

Yeah I am surprised that I can even still "build" one on Acuras website since they already quit producing them...
Maybe now is the time to buy. Decisions decisions. The trick to doing this is only doing this if I don't have to touch any of the money my mom left me when she died...to truly purchase it based solely on my income....

Yeah an '05 isn't going to happen. Of the two Acura dealerships in the Twin Cities there is only one new RSX and it's an '06 black Type S for $24k...
Maybe I could get used to driving a manual once I get the hang of it...
I would offer $20k out-the-door including TTL etc., but I don't think they would bite...would they? Afterall it is the last RSX on the lot so once it's gone they are cleansed of RSXs, but at the same time they probably know they can get $24k for a black Type S...maybe if it was that orange, but black is in demand.
Also are fogs standard on the S?

Yea I don't think they'll go that low if they only have 1 left. If they had a whole lot of them then maybe (just maybe) you could swing a better deal but I'm pretty sure they know they'll be able to sell that car. It's not like it's a stripped Chevy Aveo that they may never sell, it's still a desirable car.

A friend of mine bought an 05 milano red type s ( manufactured in summer 05 ), with 80 miles 3 weeks ago
it was slightly damaged on the trunk and repainted. The dealer has been tryin to sell the car since last year. My friend picked it up it was the last RSX type s the dealer had or will ever get
