Why is the USDM>JDM front conversion so popular?
Maybe I am not on the bandwagon here, but why is it that the JDM front conversion on a USD LHD 'Teg so popular?
Can someone help me out here? I just don't get it.

Grrrrrr

Personally i tink it depends on the car. ive seen some sick *** usdm front tegs. and some ghetto looking jdm front tegs. done right either front end can look sick. plus the jdm front flows better with the lines of the car than the usdm, imo.

really depends on the car.. there is a white usdm R from hawaii that is the sex, usdm front, it would look gay if it was jdm, but then there is some jdm front cars that would look ghetto with usdm front... personal opinion
I guess I just prefer my JDM "looking" cars to look like this:

It's kinda like putting Cobra emblems on a LX Mustang, Z06 badges on a regular 'Vette, or GT-R badges on a Sentra. Red H badges on anything other than a TRUE Type R.
To me, it's putting up a front. Faking it. It just doesn't appeal to me like some others I guess.

But do you see what I am saying though?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the people that do it, but why not take the couple grand for the parts/shipping/installation and put it torwards something a little more genuine, you know?

Most of it has to do with personal prefence. Back when there wasn't too many JDM teg out here in US, you were pretty damn cool to have it. I think it's human nature to crave for attention.

Actually its NOTHING like putting cobra emblems on an lx. An lx is a v6 and a cobra is a v8... A type r comes with the jdm front in japan so putting it on a usdm isnt fronting ****??? The jdm front isn't even type R exclusive either... Your logic is irrelevant

if we're going to get technical here... not all jdm integras were type R's.
there were "econony" models that came with smaller motors and such that had the "jdm front" on it.
integra's in japan came with these headlights as well and of course the uk.

technicalities blah blah.. its probably all personal preference.. and I could understand where you are coming from

whut people don't get is that the so called "USDM" front came from japan. they had sir with the frog eyes front end. so either one is "jdm"....
But MY point is, why do people like putting the long slender JDM headlight front end, on the USDM sold round headlight front end?

Lets not reinvent the wheel here

</TD></TR></TABLE>you answered your own question within the question itself.......People like doing the JDM conversion on their usdm car, that is why they do it.
...........it is obviously all cosmetic, it looks killer. i personally like both front ends, so you could say i go both ways, hahahahahahaha

because it looks better.
because they like it.
because not everyone has it.
because that is how they look in Japan.
The question shoud be..."why do people put a JDM Integra front on anything other than an Integra."
