d16y8 problems.. need help

Default d16y8 problems.. need help

ok.. i got a 97 civic dx.. just put a d16y8 in it ... had to put my 1.5 throttle body on it.. it works. but my car boggs between 2 and 1 grand when it sit and idel for a min than it stops.. why ? next ? is i am getting like 5mpg now.. i put 30 all together since last thursday and im on e again.. why is that sucking gas.. let me know

I don't know much about OBDII motors, but I'll try and point a few things I would definately make sure to check. Are you using the d16y8 ECU? Throwing any CELs? Does your car bog when its cold or it doesn't matter on the temp?

yeah its a y8 ecu.. dont matter if its cold it will bog whenever .. but it bog like 4 times and usually stops.. ???

i put a ex harness in it so it is already 2 wires.. would the 1.5 throttle body make a diffrence..

I'm assuming it shouldn't. When I swapped my z6 the TPS sensor was broken and I didn't know how to calibrate a new one so I just took my throttle body off of my dx motor and its always ran fine. No bogs etc. But you know I did remember here on H-T couple guys were having bog issues and it turned out to be there coolant temp sensor
