Default Some more misc pics from Japan (Honda, Toyota, Spoon, Twin Ring Motegi, Kyoto, etc)

I originally made this post earlier this week: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1808558

Been to a lot more places in the past few days like the Honda Collection Hall at Twin Ring Motegi (and did some other stuff there), Toyota History Museum, Toyota Showroom (did some test drives), Spoon Sports main office & showroom/garage (turns out my mom knows one of the exec's there from high school), checked out Nagoya castle & Kyoto castles/palaces, and a few other things. Still have a couple of more things to do before I leave, and out of the 2000+ pics that I have, here is just a sample of some more stuff I have so far. I'll have full albums uploaded next week after I sort through the pics.

Toyota Showroom -- Odaiba, Tokyo

New Toyota bB (Scion Xb).... I test drove a silver one

My friend snapped a pic of me test driving a Vitz RS

Nice GT-One outside the Showroom

Cool 1970 Toyota-7 at the Toyota History Museum (Nagoya)

Went over to Ogikubo to check out Spoon Sports. Main office is here with another 3 floors warehousing parts.

Down the street about half a mile is the Type One showroom/garage

1st floor

2nd floor

Went and checked out the Twin Ring at Motegi and the Honda Collection Hall

Everybody's favorite

Some cool JGTC-spec'd NSXs

My poor attempt at a panoramic shot of the track (click for big pic)

There was an Asimo demonstration. Here's one quick vid I had from my camera.

Now some Japan scenery. Nagoya Castle.

Oasis 21 in Nagoya (they had an art demo going on there at the time)

The top of it

Quick pic of Mt. Fuji from the bullet train

The Golden Pavilion at Kyoto

Rock garden (sand) with the Silver Pavilion behind it

Shot of Kyoto city from the hills

That's just a sample so far. I'll post more pics up next week after I get back.

What's even more funny is that I was talking to the guy who was doing the swap and giving him some tips on what to do regarding wiring and some things (the DC2 was going to get a K20 also), so I guess you can say when you see the blue EG6 with Spoon spec'd K20-R in it, I had some input with building it . I have more pics that I'll upload later but they were a little more than halfway done with the swap.

I have a lot more pics still, and yes there are a few different DC5's that I have from both Spoon and Twin Ring Motegi. I'll post them up next week after I get back and sort through all of my pics.

Is it true that Spoon uses Hasport motor mounts for their K20 motor swaps?

The latest VTEC Sports #23 does a feature on the Spoon K20 EK9.
