Default handbrake light won't turn off

The handbrake light on my mom's 93 civic hatch turned on and it won't turn off until you take out the key.

I don't feel a drag when driving so the handbrake is not engaged. I wanna get this fixed for her instead of taking it to some shop. What should I do? Thanks.

Your brake fluid is low. It's not just an indicator for the hand brake.

Thanks, I didn't know that! I'll see if that fixes it.

Make sure you look up a how-to on the proper way to do this. It's easy to put bubbles in the line, and make your brakes not work properly.
