crane roller setup or webcams rocker setup. Experiences?
We run the Ferea Roller setup on our Civic. (same as crane)
They actualy have a new design that is even lighter.
It is a good valvetrain weight loss
Never tried anything else............But I say go for thr Ferea/Crane setup.
The Ferea setup is on alot of bigname honda's.....Chuck S, Joe D, Gardella, Eggum Racing. They are proven to work and hold up.
We are a ferea dealer if anybody needs pricing, just PM.

not to long ago from what i understand.
not to long ago from what i understand.
i saw at SEMA they had 2 different versions
the standard red/gold that have been around for a while and the ones at SEMA were actually just an aluminum color but i guess their final verison is red/black as pictured - the new version is considerably lighter than the old design when holding them, not sure what exactly the weight difference is but a bit
wonder how much more the new ones are in cost - i see they have 2 different part #'s listed for them now so i would imagine you could potentially still get either setup depending on what your budget is

Do they offer different cam profiles setups or is it just one standard cam you get with the roller rockers. Someone asked me this the other day was just curious.

I believe over time they have changed their profiles. I have an older set prob one of the first ones that I bought from Pro-Drag. I know someone at NOPI OH was testing out a new grind on their honda. When compared to the older roller came there was noticable difference. You can contact Crane Cams to find out more info.

just got off the phome w/ FERREA and they informed me that the type of roller system that i have is the older version which is now discontinued....
the new version is 10% lighter and will make power up to 11,700 rpm (200 rpm higher than my style)
the full setup is alot cheaper than most think................

VTEC is not used in race cars. You run the big lobes full time.
