I'm filipino and have a crazy filipino grandmother that goes through everything in the house...she cleans the house constantly and she constantly loses my belongings... this day is different. I wake up with a red package next to my bed? It's from ACURA. This package was sent to my house back in 1998. I've never once seen this package ever...Inside was a letter, survey, official real time ITR poster and keychain. It was such a great reminder of what I once owned before it was stolen. 1997 ITR 172 i miss u!!! Anyways I just wanted to remind you all of how cool you really are for owning an Integra Type R. Any one else out there recieve something similar?

Based on the date in the letter posted above, it sounds like it also came with 98's...

2000 owner here, and I did not receive a package with ITR schwag.
I could see this as something special for the '97 owners, though.. the "early adopters", as it were.
lol, Jeff (or his secretary) spelled Comptech wrong.

They didn't get the [good intentions, ultimately not so useful) immobilizer, though.
Hmm... did the JDM get the immobilizer in 2000? If so, what does their key look like? I don't recall that topic before.

With my 97 I got a certificate of authenticity, which amounted to a 8 1/2 x 11 card with a picture of the car on the top and some wording and a signature with my Type R number. They sent me the wrong number though, so since I work beside Honda Canada I stopped by and asked for a correction.
The woman I was dealing with brought out an Excel printout with a list of all the Canadian Type Rs, their numbers and the names and addresses of the owners. I wanted that sheet so bad... it would have helped settle at least one arguement!

What up Josh! Its dope that you were able to find something like that.
I should try to get up with you one of these days. I regret not going to that Chicago honda-tech meet.
I doubt you'll be back in a R, but it was great having met you as the 1st other ITR owner.
But damn i wish i could have gotten one of those in my mailbox, but i'm the 3rd owner.

Ahhhh Josh. Frame that in your room. I'll still never forget that day. It will be missed. Donut worry, you still have many more cars to come and a sick car in your garage to hit up skyway with.

although i am not an original owner who didn't recieve such a letter, i do however have the poster and keychain. The keychains are a rare find, very rare find. To my knowledge the only way you could recieve the keychain was to fill out the survey.
