Default igniter on b16 n 1.5 dpfi

is the ignitor in the stock 1.5l dpfi the same as the one in the b16a distributor? i think mine might be bad and i have the old engine in the basement so if they were similar i was thinking just put it in and try it if not oh well..

I have swapped an Si/HF ignitor into an DX distributor.. worked fine..

and Si and B16 ignitors that I have seen were the same number..
So it's worth a shot anyway..
{Make sure the connections are snug and fit tightly..]

If your old ignitor says "OKI" on it,It probably is bad..
They were recalled because of frequent failure..

Also look around inside the cap for any other signs of problems..
Red dust, coil connection all burned up, etc..
