Default need thread and size for helicoil for headstud

I need the thread and the size for a helicoil...i have an LS block that has a stripped out headstud..so i need it fixed ASAP. my machine shop needs to know the size before they can do it

i believe its 12X1.5 size.. just take your head bolt up there and get it measured.

i found the size its 11 x 1.5mm

now the question is

do they make specific lengths or are they all the same. cause all i'm seeing are the small ones. so would they need to stack them in there? cause its like 2" deep

Skip the helicoils for the headbolts, not a very good application for them. Go to a timesert... here's a link to the specific kit you need.

yeah...ok...not

i dont have the money to be spending on a timesert. helicoil only
