Hey guyz, I need to replace a muffler on my 2000 2DR Civic EX and I have a few questions.

1) Should i get a genuine honda muffler or an after market one?

2) Which website is the best place to get the muffler?

3) Is there any other parts besides the muffler itself that i need to complete this replacement??

4) This will be my first time replacing a muffler. Is there any website that shows step by step replacements? Or better yet, what are your advise?

1. Do you want to be loud and obnoxious, or not? choose accordingly

2. depends on number 1. If you just want a replacement, go to a junkyard, you could get one for really cheap.

3. I am not sure what your talking about. Why are you replacing the muffler? I dont think you would need to replace anything else, unless there is something wrong.

4. Unless you can weld and have something to cut the metal with, you will probably need to take it to a muffler shop. $20 or something to put a muffler on.

 

1) No..i dont want it really loud.

3) I need a replacement because it has a hole(due to rust) on the top side of the pipe just befor the muffler and its making a lot of noise.
