CAT for a JDM 2.5" ITR header or use an emulator
What's my best bet for passing the emissions? Current CAT doesn't have the bung for the secondary sensor and Check engine light is ON.
Replace the current CAT with some aftermarklet ones ?(which is connected to a 2.5" JDM ITR header) Which aftermarket CAT?
OR
Continue with the current CAT and use some emulator ( not sure what the hell that is...read here about the emulator)
thanks guys

What cat are you using that doesn't have a secondary O2 bung? If the cat itself is functioning and capable of passing emissions testing, just weld in an O2 bung and install the sensor.
I got te header and cat used from some one. The CAT is some sort of OEM (Civic or Integra) with 2.5" flange welded so that header is attached. No holes for putting the secondary O2 sensor.
I guess, I need to somehow pull out the O2 bung from the OEm CAT ( which is of no use now) and weld it onto the CAT on the car now? and then put the O2 sensor back ? thanks

New. Among other places, http://kteller.com sells them.
Thanks...Let me ask you this. If you have the CEL ON, is it necessary that you will fail emissions? I heard some place that because of CEL you are running rich?
btw the CAT I have currently is an OEM looking CAT. with 2.5" flange welded to the end. With an OEM CAT, I guess I have more chances of passing emissions?

Where are you located? If its in cali, then chances are you are going to fail. If you're in TN, then as long as you dont have a CEL and you have a cat, you're pretty much golden.
O2 sensor bung + Used O2 sensor - $20
Welding the O2 senor bung to the CAT - $20
Passing emissions - Price less!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Hopefully)
I went to emissions and the guy said your "OBD computer is Not ready for testing".
He asked me to drive around for a day or two and come back for testing. Let's wait and see.

if youre in cali, you need to run your oem cat. High flow cats are illegal in cali. And if you have a check engine light on, its automatic failure. Smogging is a bitch in cali
