15x7.5 +38mm wheel on a 92 hatch?
Hi I have searched and googled , but I have came out with nothing. Basically what I am trying to do is fit 15x7.5 +38 offset on a 92 hatch. My questions are, if anyone has used these before and if any major modificatons were made? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Don't do it. For a 15" wheel, your car needs 195/50-15 size tires. That size is usually only approved for wheels that are 5.5-7.0 inches wide.

It's the wrong size for the car. It will throw off the speedometer and odometer, and it will result in slower acceleration. There is no significant difference in performance. They are also more expensive than 195/50-15.
If you are looking for better performance, buy better tires, not wider tires.

True, but is 1/2" overall diameter gonna throw everything off enough to worry about it?

take a tape measure and measure from your hub to your shocks 5.75 inches. then from your hub measure 2.75 from your hub to the fender and see what clearance you have. if everything works out then put a tire on it that you want and call it a day
The tires I was planning on using were 195/50 so they can be a little stretched out on the rim. I am using these wheels for the looks more than performance. I have HX's for some performance.
If these wheels with the 195 tires wil be mostly for looks, do you LIKE the look of tires that are too small for your wheels?

i dont think is a bad idea if you are doing some road racing at the track..just make sure you roll the fenders ,get a h&r full spacer with bolts and studs and put 215/50/15 and go road race man!!!!! dont believe me take a trip to your nearest track and see what the pro are using(nasa, scca,or any other events)
Do you think if I use tires 195/50 stretched it will rub on the inside. I noticed that the rim is about 1cm away from that part that connects the hub to the upper control arm. I want to roll my fenders enough to make it look similar to an old school AE86. I just like that look.
