JDM 92=95 civic headlights Q's...
i am considering picking up a set of JDM headlights for my civic. i have a few questions pertaining to these for those who already have them or know more about them...
1) What bulb size do they take?
2) Are they direct bolt on and plug in, or is there extra wiring involved?
3) How much better is the beam pattern than USDM housings?
4) Any other pertinent information you could share with me? (where to find them, whats a good price, etc....)?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me.....i appreciate it.

they use an h4h, i think they sell at optsauto.com. and it's just plug and play. there's no difference in brightness. just that they cost 150 and they're made of plastic and have no nipples.
They are plug and play without the city lights wired up. If you want to hook up the city lights then you have to wire in the corner lights to them.

A glass lens is better than a plastic lens (more light transmission), but if the J-spec headlights have a better prismatic pattern then I guess they are better.
I had to rewire my headlamp sockets where it was cut off on my JDM ones....because the black part that holds the JDM bulb is different.....very easy to do though!
so, are the onyl bulbs that you can use the H4h or H4c bulbs. if so, do they have a different plug than the regualr H4 bulbs. im just trying to get ideas here. i want to get HID's for my car in a few months and am looking for the best way to get a nicely cut-off beam pattern. it seems as if the JDM lights wont do it because of the different bulb size. i was considering projectors bt have heard that there is a problem fitting the HID bulbs into the projector's H3 housing. not sure though....i need to put up a new post about this....thanks for all the help though guys....you gave me a lot of info to think about...thanks again.....

garbage.the only difference is the filament within the bulb but the plugs are the same. also the 3 prong clip that houses the actual bulb is slightly different than the H4. You can install HID's into your headlights.. but make sure that its air tight.
