Default Ceramic JRSC

Well after toying around with the old bearings and spinning them and spinning them I have decided to one up myself. After I sell a hole buncha stuff on ebay and the marketplace I am going to install some ceramic bearing throughout the ole M62. I remember when I use to skate and the talk of the town was always "ceramics"..."ya gotta get ceramics". Well I will be the test monkey I guess and spin the hell out of the JRSC and see what happens. I am hoping for a 30-40% less strain on the belt and less IATs. We will see what happens after I try it all out. I will post pics of the current bearings and ceramics as things progress. Wish me luck!

Well, I got the thing apart now. The shaft looks pretty clean, the housing isnt that bad scratched up and the rotors are still smooth. One of the bearing has a stiff spot in it and its got a spot that is chipped on the inner race. Here are some pics for progess.

Note: I took the needle bearings out just to make sure I rebuilt it all

Here is the old one.

And the busted guts

more to come when I get rich and can afford all the bearings

i dont think youre going to get that much better results from them. they do weigh less and can hold up better to heat but i doubt its going to do too much, and i dont think iats are going to go down.

i used to skate(as in inline speed and quad speed ) and ceramics were deff not worth the money. I broke a 180 dollar set in my quads

They do make differences in the bigger SC's like the m112 and such...But they arent that far away. These bearing are rated at 18000-20000 rpm....which the stockers are 12-14Kish. So if anything from using these, i will gain peace of mind.

Just got off the phone with the bearing company. It looks like the bearings are gonna run around $80ish each. If you are interested in these bearing, or want more info on whats going on just shoot me a PM or hit me up on AIM at Acidburnssodoi

Hope all goes well!
