Default 2 piston caliper vs stock

So I saved up enough money to get a set of NSX calipers for my prelude. Now that I can afford it, I'm just wondering if there is really a good advantage to get the 2 piston instead of the 1 piston. Do they make much of a difference at all or are they more cosmetic?

edit: I go autoX and mountain driving so I been looking into a better braking system. I already put on stainless steel lines which I think are great.

This is the Wheel and Tire Forum. There is no brake forum; for questions on brakes for your Prelude, ask in the Prelude forum...

(...and no, the difference between the two setups is really minimal. If you're looking for braking performance, just get better pads and fluid. The next significant step up after that is a setup with bigger calipers, bigger rotors, bigger pads and more swept area, although it's pricey and typically requires bigger wheels, too.)

you'd stop just as well with stock brakes, good pads, and good fluid.

I, of course, would concentrate on getting good tires first. Seeing as this is the wheel and tire forum would you perhaps like some assistance in selecting the best tire for your specific needs?
