Default rebuilding bottom end questions

ok i am rebuilding the bottom end of my h23a1. Can u use h22a pistons n rods? Well if anyone knows about this or has any suggestions for a h23a1vtec all motor plz let me know what would be the best setup and what sizes i would need

You can use the pistons but, I would have the machine work done on the block after you give the shop the pistons so that they can measure them exactly. The rods are longer, 20 thousandths too long. You can fix this by machining the piston surface down. It wont hurt anything just might lower your compression a little, not even enough to make a diff. I ran into this problem when I built my motor. I ordered billet rods and they sent me billet rods for an h22. My motor is still running strong today.

yes keep the h23 block, crank, and rods and just get the h22 pistons.

What? BS... an H23 rod is 5.572" long and an H22 is 5.636 Its the compression height of the H22 piston that is .02 more than an H23 which is why they stick out of the hole a bit. (.02" approx)
