Greetings!
I have a Honda Fit and it is awesome. Unfortunately, if I go on a short trip and decide not to buckle my seat belt it will continuously beep. I don't mind the seat belt reminder, but the beep does get annoying. Does anyone know of a way to disable to constant beeping of the reminder. I tried disconnecting the wire under the seat, but that deactivated the airbags.

Just wear your damn seatbelt - is it really that much of a hassle for you?
Are you handicapped or something

There is a way, its just not recommended, and potentially problematic. You could find the wires that go to the seatbelt receiver, and solder them together.

but why bother? Just put your damn seatbelt on.

 

Lets not be harsh. Those are valuable 1-2 seconds he is talking about here. Think of the time!

I say crack open the gauge cluster and remove the beeping mechanism, and you'll be fine

screw seat belts. Seat belts are for pussies anyways, you're going day anyway

 

Wear your seatbelt. I see bad car accidents on a daily basis and trust me...buckle up.

 

you dont want to wear your seat belt, and deactivated the airbags tryin to stop the sound.

your going down the wrong path here.

my advice like everyone else is wear your seatbelt, its not like the seats are going to keep you in place if you get t-boned. probably end up riding shot gun of your own car after an accident.

if your still too stubborn and decide to not wear your seatbelt despite the numerous warnings, your just going to have to drive with that beep you love so much. OR you can find a detatched seat belt "tongue" (the male connector piece, the female connector piece is the buckle) that fits and insert it into the buckle without the belt everytime you want to "trick" the sensors.

Or another thing u can do, get one of those things that you plug in to the holder, and just keep it there. It'll fool the beeper.

Not to sound harsh, and one who was cut off and sent rolling down the highway, only morons disable the seatbelt sensor in a stock car.

Unless you are going to a 5 point harness, leave it alone. You are just going to get yourself killed, and worse, ruin a good car in the process.
