cf hood help????

Default cf hood help????

hey ht people, my carbon fiber hood is fading unevenly now, i think it due to the wax i been using...and some of the wax is still on for a period of time so it juss stuck there and fading i guess...not sure, but i tried to search and nuthin come up, either that or im suck at searchin...i tried dish washer soap and it wont come out, try different wax and it wont help...any ideas to restore the problem???

Rubbing compound might work. But I know peanut butter will help you shine your cf hood back to original.

i used PB. then i used megiars after. looks 100% better but not new. honestly

Not the wax
Question....When you bought the hood did you have a bodyshop clear coat it for you? If not then it's probably the factory clear coat, or even worse, the resin is oxidizing.
The clear coat applied by the manufacturer of the hood is usually cheap and has little to no UV protection in it.
Either pay for a bodyshop to block the hood and reclear it
or just live with it.
