this might be a werid question but is there a part that goes behind the bumper, and clips on to it. it acts like a guard or some sort. from looking thru the engine bay, in front of the manifold, i can see directly stright to the floor. is there some sort of oem cover that can be place there that clips on to the bumper?

It's the bumper reinforcement (actually called the bumper, as the bumper you know is called a bumper cover). The bumper cover does not clip onto it, just goes over it.

are you asking about the bumper beam in front of the radiator or behind the radiator the mud sheilds that attach under the car to the rear lower edge of the bumper and cover the area between the the engine/oil pan area and the front cross member?

that's what i mean, what is that part called? and is there even that part for the eg chasis?
