Default Good bye of a best friend

Hey guys i am sorry if this is off car top but i really neeed to get it off my chest
Today i made the hardest decision of my life. I had put my dog down. I feel so guilty its making me sick,. I stood around and wachted his body become lifeless and i promised i woundlt cry but i did . Before he would mope around the house now i am the one mopping. Why does it hurt so much to have to do something like this. I am sick to my stomach right now that i did that. But he is in a better place and may his soul rest in peace.

I AM sorry if that makes no sense i just need to get it off my chest
Rest in peace Bruno

a dog is honestly mans best friend. I hope nobody flames this or locks it. RIP Bruno. Looks like a Mastiff? I'll make sure my mom watches over Bruno up there

If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Old age? I've lost many pets and each death doesn't get easier.

RIP.

Thank you mods and everyone. it just hurts alot beacuse i took him in by myself and stuff. the reason i had to put him down was because he had a alot of water build in his stomach and a skin injection. well about 5 pounds worth of water and the tried tried to take some out but was un able . he was just getting depressed and you could see it in his eyes and everything.
but thank you again

Thats the only down side of having pets. He's probably chasing one of my old cats around as we speak.

i know exactly how u feel. i got a puppy at the beginning of the summer from the local pound (WILL kill shelter). had it for 2 weeks before it showed signs of distemper. after spending about $600 on vet bills, and giving it fluid injections twice a day (i'm not a vet, nor had any experience sticking anything with an IV). she finally started to seizure and had to take her to get put down. some would say that if u only had a dog for a little over a month, there is no mourning period. well i was home with a broken arm (i type for a living) so i watched the dog wither away day to day.
and if that wasnt bad enough, i have had to put 2 cats down in the past 7 months. i had each of them since the day they were born. i didnt cry when my fiance left me, but i did when my dog and cats had to be put down. it's no good. sorry to hear it man

RIP Bruno.. it's always hard dealing with death whether it be an animal or a human being. the perspective of seeing a good friend or someone close to you is always painful but just believe that Bruno is in a better place. my deepest sympathies.
