Default hollow cat for obd 2

hey guys i have a 2000 gsr and i was wondering if i was to change my headers and replace the stock cat with a hollow cat would i run check engine? bc there are 2 o2 sensors one before cat and one after... obd2 is more for emission crap. also would it be a better idea to convert to obd 1

Yes, hollowing out the cat or running a straight pipe will throw a CEL on your car.

And it's not worth the problems. In fact the gain is minimal evan in the top end.
