Nostalgic for my R (track video)
It's been 5 months since I sold the R, and I'm a bit nostalgic, so I'm going to post some track video. I'm not very computer literate, so this might take a few tries to link the video correctly.

It's a fun car. Not nearly as "raw" as my R, but I think it'll be faster around the track and the rwd handling dynamics will be fun to learn.

Actually, the in-car footage is shot by an Expo instructor. I'm the black R at the very beginning of the video.

A little post-mortem to the theft story. Contrary to what the prosecutor told me last year, the kid was indeed convincted of Felony C evasion and possession of stolen property. An arrest warrant was issued and bond set, but he skipped town before the police could serve the warrant.

At least he is a wanted man now. I never knew this.
LOL, was Jeff braking as you passed?
Damn, I say the R ran pretty good back then.

Great video
. Dare I say the ITR looked better in the corners than the Porsche it was following
.
I was gonna say that I couldn't hear the whine of the JRSC but as I read down the thread I realized that the ultra-fast black ITR was you.

I have corrected my ways
or at least remember I've got the camera on...
That event was the second or third time I had been behind Tom in the '96 twin-turbo (modified motor/suspension by Andial in California). The result of following for several laps is quite obvious = frustration. However, I didn't feel like pulling in the hot pits like a SMART driver would. It was more fun to wait for him to get a blue flag & have to move over.
After several laps, I let Jimmy (who was waiting patiently behind me) give him a run for his money, since the 'ol JRSC wouldn't have a problem keeping up down the front straight. Go figure - he got to pass within a lap, then I was back on the waiting list.
Yes - I did let up considerably for Jim to go by.
After that session, Tom and another driver ('73 white 911) came & spoke with me to figure out why we were so much quicker than they were. VERY friendly, good guys...I miss running with the PCA.
