Default Removing black stripe from paint

So i got really lucky and found a fender that matched the color of my car perfectly. My fender was smashed in an accident and I put one on that wasn't painted. However, there is a black stripe (that I think most accords have) running from the back to the front on the fender I bought. My accord has a grey stripe. Yikes, that will look wierd!
So how do you remove that stripe? It feels like a sticker but it wont peel of but a little at a time. I also don't want to ruin the paint. Also, does anyone know where I can get the grey stripe to match my car?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

you can use a heat gun, to heat up the pin stripe, in order for the glue that is holding it to get softer, then use a razor blade to remove, then use any type of adhesive remover to clean any remaining glue on the car.

your best bet to find that pinstripe that you need is either at your local junkyard if you want it cheap or your local honda dealer which will cost you a pretty penny.

Heat gun... or u can get a pin stripe removal tool,

OR

You can do it very carefully and peel it slowly in a straight line, and itll come off... i just took both sides of a pin stripe with my hands off an accord the other day, took me 10 minutes..

not to dis your ideas the easiest and safest way is adhesive remover at carquest...we got the stuff a work and it works great and helps prevent scratching the paint.....heat gun will work to but run into possibly scrtchin the paint....

goo gone, in your homedepot paint area.

some time the pinstripe is clearcoated with the car, if you can't get it loose after a while it usually is.
