I have Accord and i would like to install H22A Engine on it. but i would like to know the fuel Consumption of this engine. because as you know it will be taken from Prelude.

How do you drive?

Hard?

Gently?

General..~235 gram of fuel/ Kwh

235 gram of fuel is ~0,27 liter

Max engine output is 147Kw

That was the theoretical part. My experience is 0,85-0,9/10 kilometer cruising on the highway. More in dense traffic.

It is a thirsty engine. 200hp is 200hp and do not come free. But it have the potensial of low consume if you drive gently, max 4000 rpm, slow and few accelerations, use the best gear for the speed and so on.

But, you dont buy a performance VTEC engine and think about fuel consumption..

 

If you drive to redline all day 20mpg
Normal - 24mpg in mixed driving for me.

 

i get 400 in h22a in my 4th gen

 

i average 27mpg with an h22 in an accord wagon. works for me. when its out of tune and i drive like a lunatic it will get 22mpg.
