vss and skaking

im getting a code 17 not that big of a deal but every time i come to a stop my car shakes what could this be thanks

I assume you don't have ABS right.

The code 17 is for your VSS. Check the connections otherwise it might be shot.

The shaking could be from warped rotors, its common.

Does your car do anything else?

Like..

Does The transmission slip when shifting gears, When Slowing down does the car not down shift?

Either way a bad VSS can Cause Numerous Problems..

Does your speedo work?
What is the RM at idle or when you are having vibrations?
Take a look at the front 'dogbone' motor mount siee if it is still in one piece.
