Hey there, I am looking at a blue 91 DX hatch tomorrow and am looking to get opinions on how much $$$ It has 116k miles, bone stock, stick with AC, new tires, alternator, tie rods. The body is a little banged up, but virtually no rust. The car supposedly need nothing to pass inspection. What do you guys think the car is worth, I am still learning the Honda market. i wouldnt pay more then 800 but i live in ca and im a cheap ***. id say definatly dont spend more then 1500.

 

It would have to be pretty darn clean to spend $1500... probably $1000 to $1200 depending on the body and other parts(exhaust, brakes, etc)

 

yea bone stock 91 dx... $800-$1200 sounds about right....

 

I would pay $1200 at most , depending on how clean the body is. Also, depending on how rare hatches are in your area, most of the time theres something better around the corner. Dont rush into buying, you'll be alot happier when you buy something your sure you want, and dont need anyones opinion on it.

 

i just bought one for 500. im the second owner. yeah i wouldnt pay 1500 for one. but it also kinda depends on were u live.

This is quite true. Someone posted a rusty 91 4dr with 162 k for $1,200

A non-rusty and not too banged up hatch with AC and good shape mechanically should be anywhere from $1000-1500. $1500 is there are few dents and it's clean over all.

 

Thanks everyone....bought it!!! $1300 The car came from Arizona originally and has NO RUST. It does need some little stuff, drivers seat bolster is torn, door panel is ripped etc... but the car runs perfect, AC blows cold, and needs nothing!!!! I pick it up tomorrow. Thanks again for the opinions and I look forward to spending more time on the forum.

 

the car isnt worth more than 800 on any blue book lol.

 

Congrats! That's a decent price around the Salt Belt for a non-rusty hatch.
