Default 93eg2james' Del Sol Progress Thread *56k...don't bother*

-Shift Linkage Update 11/16/06
-Swap Complete (Pics)
-B20VTEC Build and Install

This is the thread I plan to date all the progress on my Del sol. I will be swapping in a b18b1 out of an ls integra this weekend so I felt now would be the appropriate time to start it. Sorry for the fuzzy pictures. I was just learning to use the new camera!
Heres the Del Slow:

The Good:
-Very clean body for a 1993 Si. (No Honda rot)
-Interior is clean
-Never been in an accident, and body is totally straight.
-Came with a mini-me swap (d15b7 bottom with d16y8 head), steal braided brake lines, KYB AGX's with Nuespeed Race springs, and a ACT Stage 3 6 pluck clutch.

The Bad:
-The body had minor dings that annoy the crap out me
-The guy who I purchased the car from lied to me. Came with a blown headgasket and and needed a timing belt. These have replaced, but its still very slugish.
-Bad window motor, but had already been replaced.
-Ripped seats, but have been swapped out for my '97 spec GSR seats
-Ripped up door panel.
-Headlights are crap
-Shitty wheel bearings
-Inner and outter tie rods are bad

About a month ago I was talking to a friend about their car, and they mentioned the fact that they could not get the title for it so I offered to buy the motor and components from him. He agreed to sell it to me for very cheap because he is a good friend . The car is/was very quick. It beat my GSR and 2 others during its only week on the road. Everything in the picture below will be in my car after the weekend.

I've already done a few minor modification. I made a custom sub enclosure for the back, converted all my white guage lights to amber, fixed a window motor, put my system in it, and swapped my old GSR seats into it because the stock Del Sol seats were in poor condition.

Im planning on selling the sub and enclosure. I dont really need the bass, infact it gets annoying. Also planning to reupholster the door panels, replace the old worn out steering wheel with a bagless ITR wheel, and swap some RSX leather seats in this winter. I will be painting it myself this coming summer.

Yeah, I think the trunk/rear end is the ugly part of this car.

no no. i had a gsr previous to the del sol. griffy (the kid with the integra that im raping for parts) was the owner of the ls that beat me. i had to sell the gsr because of the insurence costs, and bought the del sol. now im taking griffys ls and putting everyting from that car on my del sol...

hope that kinda cleared it up a bit. sorry for the confusion

I'll be sure to do it!

Canon ProShot something...its my mom's camera. It's too much camera for what I'm trying to do, but it's the only digital camera we own. It shoots like 8.0 mega pixels, so I have to reduce photos like mad.

Just got finished with the swap on Sunday. Been buttoning everything up so everything works perfect! Everything went awesome for my first swap. No complications whatsoever, and car is MUCH quicker. BIG thanks to honda-tech for all the great info! Couldn't have done it without this site!

Here's some pics:

Things added:
-Type-R Shift ****
-Type-R Shift boot
-B&M Short shifter
-Tenzo-R Steering wheel (very gay, but a good temp replacement for the old ripped up one)
-GSR rear sway bar
-GSR Brakes
