Climate controls switched around
I have a 96 civic lx with the stock climate controls and for a while now the controls are flipped.
Diagram:

when i press the button that the red arrow is pointing to it turns on the defroster. when i press the button the green arrow is pointing to it turns on the A/C to the face. same flipping occurs with the next inner buttons and the exact middle is the only one that does the correct thing.
I don't exactly know how or when this happened I kinda just got used to it, but now I might sell the car soon so I was wondering is this an easy fix? Any body have anything to try to make it correct again? TIA

Perhaps a diagram might help those who are confused by wording...

Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

I understand what you're meaning. It seems that perhaps the wires for the control buttons are switched for those? Not sure of any other reason.

For that to happen, he would have had to repin the climate control plug.
Likeliness = 0
Chances are something got pinched under there. Try taking out the climate control and examining the harness.
