So are you looking for something quieter or louder, cause there are tons of options available.

es tuning 2.5 comes in either black or polish.

Running a 2.25 with a 22 inch resonator
black one on my car:

video of me from a stop....don't mind the crappy video on the $40 dv camera or the music =P

place to buy it:

personally.. 2.5 inch is way too big..

i had a 2.5 inch custom on my car with 22inch Magnaflow res, carsound cat, and an es tuning muffler like pictured above on my 92 gsr. I lost power due to not enough back pressure, and 2nd, it SOUNDED LIKE ****!!! lol.. I sold the setup 2 weeks later and bought an RS*R ExMag.. now that is the ****!!!! Sounds amazing, performance is top notch!!! and its 2.36 inch piping i think.. or 2.38.. somthing like that..

I would look into the magnaflow mufflers, they look great and sound even better.

ES turning ones just look like a muffler shop special to me, looks like ******* in my opinion.

i had a magnaflow muffler on my car. i liked the sound nice deep tone not raspy at all sounded really nice but it was a little to loud for me. so i went ahead and got a walker muffler put on my car and tone is just right for me not too loud but not quiet either...ill try and get some sound clips in for you guys.

I had a MAGNAFLOW also.... I still do and i am EXTREAMLY UNHAPPY with it. SOOO LOUD and RASPY.
I also didn't have a resonator, but i dont think it would have made THAT much of a difference

ES tuning, Any twin loop, World Sport 2 or an RS*R. I reccomend them all

You also have to remember, as you want your engine to breathe more, a chambered muffler deisgn is gonna restrict that.

A resonator will TOTALLY change the tone and loudness of an exhaust btw.

ImportRacr05: most peeps complain about the look of it. I like the stealth look of it.

i'm not really into chrome/polish/shiny things. i'd probably paint or powdercoat my subframe reinforcement brace in the future.

muffler shop special even for the polish one?

Nuck Chorris: you could use the stock tip.

604dc2gsr: if your going to run 2.5 pipe you might want to run a chambered muffler or twin-loop.

like 92integraVTECgsr said he lost power. unless you have other mods to back-up the 2.5 it probably will be the same outcome.

I might lose power? Man, i though I had this exhaust business figured out. Too late to turn back though, already bought the damn header and pipe. As for other mods, Im planning to pick up skunk2 camshafts and retainers, valve springs. etc... enough?
