Just got a 93 civic....
I just got a 93 civic dx.....motor's partially gone....I want to put a b series motor in it and don't have much money.....wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions.....i'm no pro but i have the time and would do a swap myself but i'm new to swapping........I see alot of posts about b18's. What's the diff between b18a and b and would it make a big diff if i'm going to boost the car later anyway. Please help!!! or if you could direct me in the right direction

The B16 is better for boost because it has a shorter stroke, but if you build the motor, I don't think it will make too much of a difference.

Heres the correction:
B18A - 130ish HP requires mount kit for 92-95 Civic , tranny is cable actuated which requires adapter for cable to hydro
B18B - 142 hp bolt in using stock honda/acura mounts
both are great for boost , friend of mine had a b18a is his 94 hatch with pistons and rods , 14psi with a holset hx40 and went 12.2 @ 119on DRs
