Default wheel hop with new clutch and tranny

hey guys, i just installed a shorter geared tranny, and an exedy stage 1 clutch, when i shift from 1st to 2nd, i used to just get a chirp, now the gearing has given me more power caz of the gearing, but i get wheel hop, what would you all suggest to cure this problem, also its pretty agressive, my cd player skips and im scared of busing an axle

what suspension set up do you have?

solid motor mounts will limit wheel hop and a h-brace/traction bar will help also

you don't have to go so far as to put solid mounts in (though if you're hardcore you won't mind the craptastic ride), just start with some polyurethane mounts and traction bar like boomer said

i have omni power coilovers, 1st generation, the track version, sport not street, and skunk front camber aduster, it doesn't really matter but the rear has omni lca's, asr brace and 22 mm rsb, i think i just need to lock up the front a bit, im going to buy korbach frame lock kit, and see where that takes me, but also, does the h-brace for auto-x too, or is it strictly drag

PM drflickner and ask about the NRG engine torque damper. I am assuming you have a sohc. He sells them for $55-60 and are very easy to install, has adjustible stiffness, and eliminated 90% of my wheel hop (should eliminate all of your wheel hop since you make less power I assume). Unlike solid mounts and poly inserts, the torque damper did not induce interior noises on my car.
