**REVIEW** of MotorKlasse Half-shaft Spacers..., ... and Vendor 'jwkim' (from S2ki.com)
Hello all. I thought I should take some time today and give my impressions on my recent purchase of the MotorKlasse Half-shaft Spacers.
I purchased my set through vendor 'jwkim' and first and foremost, the service was excellent. The transaction was smooth and the shipping was fast.
I received the spacers and installed them last weekend. The installation was easy and straightforward. The quality, fit and finish is excellent... no complaints at all. (I wish my 'quality' J's Racing items had the fit and finish of the MotorKlasse brand.)
So... my final rating on a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best):
Vendor 'jwkim'
10
Product 'MotorKlasse Half-shaft Spacers'
10
I highly recommend this vendor and product. If you would like more info on the product, see below:

How low is your car? I wouldn't even consider them unless I'm slammed. I still have an inch gap.

Anyone else used these or the J's racing ones? Just wondering how low you need to be to really be concerned?

I wouldn't even bother with these. Machining costs are very low for a part like this. It's a good seller if enough hype is generated to buy it.
Sorry original poster but this seems more like a review of the seller than the product.

My friend has a set, they look nice. As far as ride height, I'm lower than he is.
Just take a peek under your car. If your half-shafts are level or close to it, you won't need it. If the hub/wheel side of the half-shaft is sitting higher than the diff side, look into a set.
Thanks

could you switch to AP2 axles?
of course its more expensive, but is it different or something?

They said the differential output flanges were extended on the AP2; said nothing about the half shafts, so I figured theyre the same.

oh so the real fix is an AP2 diff....
i thought they said the issue was on the outboard joint.

You also get a 30% stronger diff housing.
Regardless what joint it was, they pushed the shafts out to take up the slack that would cause the problem. Or so they said...

While I have only 30k on my chassis running the car at various heights, I don't have any symptoms of joints or axles going bad. While my case might be rare or common, I don't see these spacers as a need for lowered s2000s.

you know something like that wouldnt make any diff unless your chassis was on te ground.. and i mean on the ground SERIOUSLY...
thats like saying every dumbed 510 ive seen/had needed it.. or any other rear independ. suspension car

Well, to the non-believers, I installed a set on my car as well as a buddy of mine.
I was using the Espiler springs and noticed that my rear end was developing some vibration. Also, I developed a clicking noise as well. I searched and searched the S2ki forums and spoke with people that had the same problems, and they recommended these. I am now running Apex N1 coilovers and the car is lower than what it was.
I tried them out, and guess what, no more vibration or clicking noise. You can say what you want, but I have tried them first hand and they work. Can the doubters say that?
My friends car had Apex N1 coilovers and was experiencing the same issues. Guess what... the problems are gone on his too.
My car has 57,xxx miles and my buddy has 32,xxx miles. Both are 2000 models.
Actual experience tells me they work... believe or not, I don't care... just trying to offer some advise and review.
This is why I don't usually post on here, too many 'bench racers' with no experience. lol

hope that wasnt directed at me...
simply put thats what i think about S2KI
their had to have been something else wrong if you got those issues with just "springs"
i have had several different ride heights on my S2K over teh year that i have had mine and have not had such a issue... and im sure miles are a issure with me...

Nope. I tried that ahead of time and still had the problems. I always try the cheapest route first.

So you put spacers on ALREADY WORN half-shafts to correct the problem, instead of checking out the actual half-shafts?

Well, if the shoe fits...
You don't have to believe me. This is what worked... and I have two cars that I personally have witnessed it on. If you haven't had any issues, that is great. I'm happy for you.
All I have done is post about my experience, is it that difficult to understand? I'm not claiming it magically coated my rear end in 24 karat gold. lol

the spacers may not have corrected the problem but "filled" in for the "wear" you had
Now you're getting offended. I was simply pointing out the fact that the spacers will PREVENT a problem, not cure it. If they work for you, then good. You're posting about your experience, and if you read my posts, I'm trying to make your experience better. Don't be so defensive.
