Im not THAT young... I'm 24 and have yet to let a girl/lady/woman tell me WHAT to do with my life. If I cant find a girl thats chill enough to let me keep my car and continue live how I want...she is not worth it. I wouldnt force her to give up anything she owned to be with me. If I have to give up the things I love and choose between something as stupid as a car and a girl...there is no point in choosing.

Im sure his fiance didnt MAKE him sell the car... All you guys that say you would never sell your car for a girl just havent met a girl you care enough about or that cares enough about you. Im 22 and have been married for a little over a year and a half and I sold my 2001 f4i and Mustang so we could have some money to invest in our house. My wife NEVER told me she wanted me to sell either one, She actually wanted me to keep them, but I made the decision to sell them to get a reliable EJ8 and have a house that we OWN...Some people might rather have an S2K than that...but not me or H22Accord00

Congrats to you

i made the decision to sell the car, she did want me to sell it, but because it was impractical and i would need to purchase a second vehicle for the winter. I got a great deal on the accord, 5k!. and plan to just play with it to keep my tuner bug satisfied, parts are dirt cheap. but so far its saving me 0ver 400 a month, and with all the cash i save we should have a great honeymoon. in a few years ill have an S again, or maybe a techart boxster!!!

Old guy here...

I sold my muscle cars when I was just married and started having kids. Drove econo crap for a few years then got back into cars when my son became a teen. I don't regret it at all. Priorities change and when it's YOUR choice it isn't the end of the world.
If it's your choice, family things are cool and rewarding. So is driving an S. If you can afford both, then cool, if not....well sometimes we make sacrifices in one area for gains in another.

Okay, I'm done being Dad.

Exactly! I guess people that dont have something like that(wife, family) that cause them choose to hold off on their interests for a while, cant understand how rewarding it is. Again im only 22 and I could have another motorcycle and a Mustang, S2K, whatever I wanted, but I would rather hold off on those things till later(or possibly never) to focus on my house and wife. I wouldnt have it any other way

Funny thing about GF's. When I had mine, I never had any loot. I still had my hatch and GS-R, but nothing left. Now that she's gone, I was able to keep my hatch, buy a house, buy an S2K, and pay down a lot of debt. And I am also a lot happier in the process. You have to know how to pick the right one.

a car is just a car

I am sure the car will take the kids to school, cook the dinner and take care of the family

Dude I would weird out if you driving a s2k with a baby seat in the pasenger side lol. Plus getting food and supplies would be rough in the S, its just not cut out for the active family thing and transporting alot of items.
