Is it the stock Radio?

You can Try disconnecting the battery, but if its the stock head unit, sometimes after a battery disconnect it may ask you for a radio code..

what error? if you look in your manual there is more then one isn't there? It's been a while since I had the stock deck and cd player in there.

it's not a security code issue, it's something wrong with the radio.

it will ask for your antithieve code by flashing "CODE"

on my older model Headunit/radio, the ERR code means there's something wrong the the radio. for example ERR 1 would be a misaligned laser "head", ERR 2 would be some other things.

it should stated in your owner's manual, most of the time it's a minor stuff but i don't recall anyone still fix oem head unit anymore, you can get a decent shape aftermarket one with all the pretty lights for around a hundred bucks, just hope it is not the navi, dvd, intergrated model because it will cost a pretty penny

ima7head right on the money.

"misaligned laser "head", ERR 2 would be some other things"

yes you will have to pull your radio then take it to a Electronic Repair shop, if it's your cd player then guy will recalibrate the laser head, or fix the radio.

it will cost you around $50 to $100.

you might as well go for a new one.

yeah, a shop quote my friend around the same price(00 oem single disc), but we just sold the old one for on ebay(the shop probably buy it, fix it for no cost and sell it for 100s') and got something else.

if you fix it today for 100, you can't even sell it for 80 buck the same day. I would get an aftermarket and be happy with it.

but for those with navi, heater, a/c dvd all intergrated into one single system, make sure you don't break it before you sold the car, thost bastard are sold for 1000's used.
