The Vent Thread
vent here for any pleasant surprises with your EF.
today i was going to do the daily runaround in a good mood because that wheel bearing was replaced and theres no more constant whirring and that i got £10 free yesterday because someone botched my change at mcdonalds yesterday. anyway.. i get in, start up and away i go. first stop, to put some air in my slow leaking rear tyre. so im coming up to the turn for the road the gas station is on and i step on the brakes. car starts to slow as the pedal drops to the floor. no more brakes, i miss the turn because i cant stop in time. end up going around a different way, i get there and i check the back brake lines (one of them had burst) that i know are in need of replacing but that werent replaced yet because SOMEONE sold me the wrong pipes even tho i specifically said they were for a car with discs in the rear. anyway just getting back from the gas station i managed to dump prettymuch all my brake fluid and now the light is on in the dash. the best thing of all is i was just made redundant so i have no more money and the correct brake pipes are twice the price of the ones i got which is money i dont have. oh and did i mention i have a turbo diesel POS french "thing" sitting in my driveway with a snapped clutch cable and flat tyre so i cant even get the EF in to do the work myself once i do manage to get these brake pipes.
