CRX si to ZC wiring (I need help)
Hello, I'm trying to do a ZC swap into my 88 crx si. The zc wiring harness is cut off at the main bulk end of the harness. I'm trying to use my si harness end to solder onto to the ZC harness. I noticed some extra or different color wires on either the si side or zc end of the harness. All the sites I've found is just for DX to ZC conversion swap wiring info. I've heard the wiring should be the same for si to zc but I don't see that. Please help! Thanks in advance..
I used my si harness for my B18b swap, so im guessing that it will work for the ZC (im pretty sure ive heard that) I hope you havent cut your si harness at all yet. Check out the Hasport site, and give them a call if you cant find it on there, they help out alot when i comes to wiring!

I think you're going about this the very difficult way. Scrap the ZC harness all together.
Put your Si harness on the ZC motor and you're 99.99999% of the way done. You should only have to cut/splice/move or whatever a few minor things by the distributor.
Take the Si harness uncut. One by one, put it along with the ZC harness while the ZC harness is still on the motor. Plug the Si harness as you unplug the ZC harness from each thing as to not get confused as to where things go. Once the Si harness is placed on the ZC motor, it will plug up to the big plug on the firewall and everthing will work. There will be one extra plug on the back of the plenum that goes nowhere. It's fine.
The only thing you need to change is at the distributor. You will need to pull off the round 7 pin plug that is currently on your Si harness and place the separate 5 and 2 pin plugs on there instead. There are many different ways to do this. I recommend taking the pins out of the 7 pin plug and putting them in the 5 and 2 pin plugs. All you need to do is color match them. There are two whites. One is slightly larger than the other and has a red dot on the end. Make sure it goes to the one comming off of the distributer that has a dot on the end too.

USE THE SI HARNESS! Don't do things the hard way. READ the post above. It's correct. I've been in the position of using the harness that came with the motor (no harness in car). It's not fun or very pretty. MANY 88-91's have some different wiring dependent on year/model/country. HTH, Overkll
