I own a 2006 Accord EXL. I recently ask my local Honda dealer to exchange the taillights in my car for the 2006 Accord Hybrid taillights. They ultimately told me that they could not install the Hybrid taillights because of slight differences in the lamp units. I am thinking that more parts from the Hybrid are needed to successfully do the taillight exchange.

Question: Can this be done by also using other additional parts from the Hybrid taillight assembly such as the Hybrids gasket base or others that would possibly be needed?

i think the dealer is BS'n you.

dealer's are usually lazy bastads, if you get ahold of those lights and take it to a hookup-shop near-u, they'll be able to do it.
