Has anyone tried Falkens
More specifically has anyone tried Falken ZIEX ZE 512's . I'm thinking about buying some but would like to know if anyone has had any problems with them.

There a very very good tire for the money, consumer reports rated #1 in class/
I had them on my prelude, and was very pleased for an all around tire.

So you were driving around in Phoenix with all season tires? From my understanding you really don't get much snow there? I would suggest you try a dedicated summer tire. It will be light years ahead of any all season tire.
cheers

yep true...they suck in the rain though...even with good tread left, if you push them too much they'll start squeaking...i'd recommend yoko es100's i have them in 205/50/15's...love them...the ziex's do have good sidewalls and the tread wear is pretty good...though i wouldn't buy them anymore...

that is one of the worst tire ever sold as in a m&s rating from a name brand company...if that is what you are looking for then go with the kumho asx......but as old man neri has stated you don't see any snow in arizona or cali...you are better off with a true summer tire like the yok es 100 or the kumho spt....and the kumho have a $40.00 mail in rebate

They're not very good, and they're a terrible choice for anyone who lives in a place where it doesn't snow.
If you're looking for an inexpensive tire with very good performance and treadlife, get the Kumho Ecsta SPT.

Expect them to lose traction if you push them hard - if you go too fast around corners, if you brake late, etc.

the spt is what you should have gotten instead when it comes to dry performance and wet performance... if you had wanted really good dry weather grip and didn't care to much about wet then the falken 615

Also, the SPT lasts about three times longer than the Falken RT-615 (30-45K miles vs 10-12K), and the SPT is about two thirds the price. So if you care about value and how much money you spend on your tires and how often, that's a consideration.
