Noob Question on Coil-overs
Right underneath the coil spring are two big thick washer looking things, they have notches in them for the weird semi circle tools to grab onto and tighten or loosen. The actual process of using the tools is kind of awkard so just place around with it.
They are usually called spanner wrenches, and you usually receive them in pairs, one smaller than the other. The larger one is for the spring perch, the smaller one is for the spring perch locking collar.
You fit the larger one around the spring perch, and the smaller around the locking collar, and tighten them against each other (turn the spring perch clockwise, towards your left and turn the locking collar counter-clockwise, towards your right) as tight as you can get them. THen when you turn one of them, the other will turn in the same direction, and the entire shock body will spin as well.
Before adjusting height, loosen the lower mount collar (the bottom most ring, sitting against the lower mount). To raise, the corner up, you turn the spring perch clockwise To lower, you turn locking collar counter-clockwise. Make sure you re-tighten the lower mount collar after you are done.
