Default test drove 06 civic today

So today me and dad went to test drive a civic. I tested a 07 lx coupe auto, i wanted manuel but they didnt have any in stock, so that salesman said to try the auto.

Performance wise, its not too bad, its what i expected from a civic. Handling was decent, imo it was kinda looose and somewhat soft.

Few things i hate about that civic..
THe dashboard is toooo freaking highup, its hard to see the floor. Also the interior design was just lousy..especially the steering wheel, autobox, hand breaks.

I was seriously considering this vehicle but i think ill pass on it ...

So you went on a test drive for a few minutes in an AUTOmatic LX, and your upset about that?

What where you thinking was going to happen
I personally love the dashboard, the seat is heigh adjustable, steering wheel is comfy as hell ( on the si) even the handbrake design is great. I drove my friends 00 civic si last week and it felt so dated.

Go find someone in your area with an Si and lose your father.

btw if you have an 06 tsx why are you looking at an lx civic?

Your gonna judge the car by a 5min test drive? I drive the base models at work all the time (I work as a Valet) and im 5'9 and I can see the speedometer and everything perfectly. I noticed you mentioned the things you hate about the Civic, is there anything you liked about it?

i like the exterior design of the coupe...especially with the kit. The stereo system seems cool. Its pretty spacious for people in the back compared to other 2 drs.
The interior just turns me off :-( I want to like it, but i cant. lol on the way back my dad just kepted saying how ugly the interior was...

I think that the base models were specifically designed for commuting...and in my opinion, if thats what you want out of a car the Civic is the best way to go.

it was a comfy ride, there no doubt about that and it also had plenty of power but i really really dislike the interior.

I believe that for 2006, the Silver EX Coupe is the only non-si with a black interior? (which is why I bought silver) The interior is sick!!! My friend has a g35, and its nearly on par with that! I like the silver inner door handles, and the dash is HUGE but stylish. What i like about this car the most is that it looks like it was made in 2016. One knock against is that i've noticed from the passenger side (i let my gf drive it SOMETIMES) *i know i know* is that the blue digital speedo' looks PURPLE! And the box around the lower teir console looks a little too boxy... other than that, badow. Its weird the Mugen Civic axed the two teir console and got rid of the digital speedo' though... haters. And speaking of which, yeah whats with the Negative Nancy. Drive the Civic you WANT not the "heres-what-we-got" model, and look into seat adjustment/ telescopic steering wheel. It IS 2006, most of those are standard! Either that or the complainer has a big ol' head rubbin the roof and fat fingers blocking the gauges!

To the OP- did you even test drive the car?

I seriously, seriously doubt you did.

The interior sucks? The wheel blocks the spedometer? Are you stupid? MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL! Its tiltable and telescopic = it moves up and down, in and out. Wow.. The layout sucks? THe 06 civic has AMAZING layout. The steeringwheel is small, which is nice. The parking brake is in a great spot, everything is easibly assesible.

And then you go and say the performance is good? You drove a different car, not an auto lx civic. You have it opposite. The performance SUCKS, everything else is
