Default 400hp is the goal

Ok I plan on getting the following skunk 2 intake manifold,70mm skunk2 TB,type S cams, inlinepro retainers, springs and turning up the boost to achieve that goal.

My current set-up-
9.0:1 cp pistons
manley rods
darton sleeved block
cometic HG
rev-hard manifold
sc5027 turbo
2.5" DP - past the a/c compressor turns 3" all the way
^ dumptube routed into d/p
walbro f/p
525cc injectors
my current hp316, tq298 at 15psi-
do you all think think 400hp is do able with this set-up and I turn up the boost to 20psi? Or do you all think its more do able with the other stuff added in there and turning up the boost?

your best bet is to get rid of the AC and get a better flowing manifold.....that would help you out a lot!

I think it is entirely possible to make 400whp on your setup, but you could make it a lot easier with a few changes

injectors wont do it... and that 2.5 transition isnt gonna allow you to make that power....

Yeap a 3" DP is needed, and possibly a ramhorn manifold for AC/PS, then I believe with a return to your tuner you will hit 400hp with 17-18psi. Your exhaust system is your biggest limiting factor at the moment, if that does'nt work, upgrade your intake manifold.

does anyone else think that these mods will help skunk 2 intake manifold,70mm skunk2 TB,type S cams, inlinepro retainers, springs & 750cc injectors to reach 400hp?

jg intake manifold instead...

also don't worry about the exhaust manifold...people have made 600whp on log manifolds...

Also one thing I might add: a bigger turbo...cause you have a sleeved motor...you will want to pump it up...and will be able to with that setup...

I would say forget the 720cc...get 1000cc injectors so you won't need to swap when you ever want to turn the boost up...

as for the turbo...the sky is the limit with those, to pick a good one, I would need a price range.

better manifold definitly! then you can make that kinda power efficently, otherwise i would say that manifod is going to choke your power off

Yes people make High HP on log manifolds(matt keller), but they have T4's, for him to make the 400hp mark he needs to open up this exhaust period. That is his biggest limiting factor at the moment, and his current turbo will hit 400hp if he would atleast get a 3" DP.

i would get a larger intercooler, PTE 880cc injectors and conisder a new IM and exhaust manifold.....you dont necessarily need the last 2, but they would help....

he doens't have to loose his ac to make the the power. there are shops that make good flowing ac compatabe manifolds out there.

tuning is going to be his biggest key.

You guys just need to chill out, 400whp isn't hard on just a piston/rod upgrade...let alone a sleeved motor...

ya 3 inch would help, but 2.5 COULD do it.

well thanks for all the input! A larger intercooler , bigger injectors (750cc already have them) and possibly a better intake manifold... this has been pretty informative & positive as far as keeping my 400hp hopes alive!

its always good to have room to play with, rather then max everything out..,
remember too, once you hit the 400 mark, you will want 450, so id go with some 1000s insted of the 750s..
as for the intake mani, you will want something good, that is a part where you need to pay the extra couple hundred for..\
and the intercooler, big is pretty...lol

it seems you dont want to change your manifold, but is there anyway to get a full 3" downpipe in there? thats gonna be holding you back quite a bit
