Aftermarket door lock actuators?
Need to replace a couple of actuators in my wife's Accord, and I was curious if anyone had gone to aftermarket units instead of OEM.
Also, if not then where is a good source for the OEM units aside from a dealer?

i went aftermarket on my actuators for my 94 accord. i have been somewhat happy with then. about a year after the install...the connector holding the new actuator pole to the lever that lifts and lowers the lock broke. simple fix, all i needed was a little duct tape to tie the two poles together. thats my only grief
Ok, did one door today and this was too easy. Used a cheapie generic two wire polarity reversing actuator and wired it straight to the wiring that went to the factory actuator (one white and one green wire on one of the two plugs going to the factory actuator). Screwed it in, bent the rod to fit and connected it. Anyway, thought I would add my experience so others would find it in a search. Maybe 25 bucks and 1/2 hour.
