Default Tach problem

So I swapped out tachs from one gauge cluster to another one. Now when I turn the car on it goes straight 2k. Even at its lowest idle. So everything is off by 2k. I am really at 3k and it reads 5k. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks

it sounds like when you replaced the needles you did not put it back in the same position it was when you removed it. Go back in and remove it again then move it back alittle bit at a time till it matches up. Mine was the same way and it was just trial and error till I got it.
