Default B18C5 in a GSi

This might be a very stupid question but i have searched many forums including this one about a GSi engine swap but havn't found any so i would like to ask a few questions

Is changing the B18B2 engine in the GSi to a B18C5 a good choice?
Is it exactly like installing a B18C5 into an EG?
*If not, is there a guide for installing a B18C5 engine in a GSi
Is it possible to turn a GSi into DC2 through modifcations?
(i know the chassis dimensions aren't exactly the same but they are close)

i know these questions might be repetitive and for that i'm sorry but if you could please help me, do so

thank you

Yes, if you have the extra $ for a c5 then , if you don't have the extra $, then a c1 or even ls/vtec are other good alternatives.

Besides minimal diferences, in the two chassis, then yes its exactly like swaping it into an EG, infact it should be easier, it should slide right in like a hot knife through butter

*If not, is there a guide for installing a B18C5 engine in a GSi
If you searh not only HT, but other sites such as TI and/or even a google search you'll find tons of info on it, seariously its not rocket surgery

Is it possible to turn a GSi into DC2 through modifcations?
Thats a tricky question to answer. Excluding the type r, the only differences between a DC2 and a DC4 is the drive train, PERIOD!
A GSR is nothing more than an LS with a vtec motor. But I would have to say No, a DC4 will always be a DC4 and nothing else.

Someone correct me if im wrong,

Not exactly, the GSR has the strut bar, larger rear sway (some years), tweeters in the doors, and a few other differences here and there. Nothing that can't be replaced, just saying.

as they stated above it should be a fairly easy swap, and the only other thing that should be recommended with this is try switching to a gsr or type r tranny to get the better gear ratio
