I'll be there
I'll be crewing for Joe & Tony in their Miata (the one Tony flipped at Nationals)
If I can ever get this car together
, maybe I'll shake it down on Sunday in the TT...

Wish I could be there. It's on my list of events for 2007. Do they still do the staggered start? If so, how many hours do the ST3 type cars actually race?

Sorry Vince, no Canadians. We have to set a limit somewhere, I'm sure you understand.

I'll be there as well providing the car for the ECHC team. Bookler will be going back to his old H5 roots along with H5's newest driver.
Spencer, you better hold off on the drinkin until after the last gas stop. You can drink all you like once we get to Vixens.

hi guys!
i'm a little beat; the weekend (for me) was great; weather was real cold and chilly (frost in the mornings!); track was never really "fast", it was just too cold, i think.
i ran the sprints on sat and sun, and was victorious both days in ST-2! the Honda and I overcame the others in my class (C5 vette, E36 Dmod BMW car, 911 C2) -- both days i got a really good rolling start and within a few laps had put some distance on them. sat's race was 18 laps, and suns was 12 laps; i was running some of my leftover S05s, and this was their 5th weekend, so they were pretty beat up and tended to start to go away after 6-8 laps. i conserved as best i could, and was able to hold on for the win both days
there were some super cool and fast cars in Big Bore with me; there was a pristine Ferrari F430 Challenge car which had come down from Long Island; there was a GT-1 tube frame Pontiac monster, and some Super Trucks. there were a bunch of AI mustangs and another Corvette. a couple full race 911s (maybe old WC GT cars?). there was a EP Lotus Seven (he and i battled it out a bit both days; on sat he got me, on sun i got him!). Hugh Stewart showed up on sunday with a WC BMW touring car; he had to start last, and by the end of the race i think he was third!?!?!?!? he was FLYING, mang! i really had a good time, tho, all weekend!
i was "gas man" for my friend brian in the 4 hour enduro; he finished 11th, and was pretty happy to run the whole time without a single mechanical. i think i'll let some of the other guys tell their enduro tales (i don't want to spoil their stories!).
was a really nice, fun, relaxing way to end the year!!!!

PS it was GREAT seeing Phil Phillips down at the track, helping everyone get their tires right; he looked to be pretty busy at his tire truck, mounting and balancing! but, even as busy as he was, he came by my area with helpful advice to get the most out of my S05s; Phil is a great guy!!!!!!!!

I can't imagine what you might be referring to Todd, our weekend was completely uneventful.

ouch! how did that happen?
ouch! how did that happen?
smashed:
I was four laps into the practice session, just at the front of a swarm of Miatas coming into 3. There was only one left ahead of me. I had a good run on the inside of three and went to take the pass when I saw him moving over (not knowing I was there). I swerved to avoid him, but between the cold temps and me being offline where it was very slippery, it was too big of a movement and the back end came around. I clutched it in because I knew other cars were coming, and backed it off the track into the gravel where I thought I would be safe. The problem was that several other cars checked up when I spun, and an E30 (driven by a fellow Honda Challenge driver ironically) swerved to avoid the slower cars, and went into the grass and gravel where he lost his steering. I was parked in the gravel and had to watch him come straight at me and slam into the rear left of the car. The axle was broken and the trailing arm was bent, but other than the cosmetic damage that was it. We took a field trip to the Harrison's house and got another axle, and we were back in business.
blown up:
Sean had the first stint for the actual race and was moving along at a pretty good pace. On lap 8 he went for the 4th to 5th shift on the front straight and accidentally caught 3rd. Game over. The valve actually went through the block... we found it on the intake manifold.
on fire:
With the oil coming out of the engine, there was a small fire that just damaged some rubber components, nothing major.
Zephyr not getting to drive:
An error I'm sure he won't repeat again when we determine who drives in what order.

I flagged at turn 3 for the sprints on sat and had a great time, lots of action at that turn for sure. I was there for the time trial on sunday as well and it was a good time as well. Hopefully next year I can finaly get to race at summit and not have a broken or crashed car in my garage
